
Engineering Manager Dale Fronk Retires
Westerville, Ohio - July 10 2006: The Edward Orton Jr. Ceramic Foundation announces the retirement of Dale Fronk effective July 1, 2007, after having served the Foundation and the ceramic industry for more than 44 years. Dale graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Ceramic Engineering. Dale joined Orton in 1962 and held a variety of process engineering and management jobs. Dale was very active within the American Ceramic Society and served in several capacities including on the Board of Directors.
Concurrent with his retirement The Orton Foundation Board of Trustees awarded Dale the designation of "Engineering Manager Emeritus of The Edward Orton Jr. Ceramic Foundation", marking the first time heretofore the award of "Emeritus" has been made by the Orton Foundation.
Dale and his wife, Helen, plan to continue to reside in Westerville, Ohio near family and friends.

The Standard Pyrometric Cone Company was established in 1896 by Dr. Edward Orton Jr., the first Chairman of the Ceramic Engineering Department at The Ohio State University.
