AUTO-CONEThe Edward Orton Jr. Ceramic Foundation responded to the requests from our friends and customers in the ceramics industry late in 2008 and took on the challenge of manufacturing a replacement for the Kiln Sitter manufactured by W P Dawson, Inc. Orton's new kiln shutoff device, the AUTO-CONE®, incorporates some changes to enhance the product and the product line will be reduced for manufacturing and inventory efficiency. 
Parts will be available to repair your old Kiln Sitter; however some minor modifications to your current unit may be necessary. Orton will provide the customer support required to assist you with any modifications. You will also recognize that there are increases in the price of the complete units as well as parts. Orton believes the members of our ceramics community would rather pay a fair price for the AUTO-CONE® and be assured of availability of new units and replacement parts for the long term than pricing that would ultimately lead to a repeat of the fiasco of last year. Orton has been in service to the ceramics industry since 1896 and we plan to be around for many years to come to provide the products and services you require Complete AutoCone units and Kiln Sitter replacement parts are available at your local Orton Distributor or in the Orton Online Store. |
